There is a righteous jealousy and then there is a sinful jealousy. For they provoked him to anger with their high places; they moved him to jealousy with their idols. Psalm 78:58 (ESV) -God's Righteous Jealousy for His people
You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. James 4:2 (ESV) - Man's Sinful Jealousy towards people Jealousy in marriage can be a doozy - especially when left unchecked; and I know all too well how it is to have a jealous heart towards the husband who has healthy relationship with others - even family.
It's okay to desire love and affection from your spouse, but it becomes dangerous when your motives to build "quality time" is fueled by ill intent and manipulation because you are secretly jealous of everyone who interacts with him - because you feel they are going to steal something from you.
I want to address Jealousy and how it can ultimately destroy your marriage if you don't give your heart to the Lord and allow Him to purge you and heal you from the inside out.
